Oh, how nice to run into you again.

[ she says cheerfully, in this weird creepy room full of pods. it's all pretty ominous, but she seems mostly put-together as she greets him. ]

What brings you by [ whatever the fuck this is ] this mysterious room?

[dotcom]

The fact that it's a mystery.

[ he glances at the pods. ]

Do you think this is mostly just to mess with us, or...?

[chevaleros]

Hm...

[ she narrows her eyes at the wall. ]

Perhaps. Do you see yourself in those pods?

[dotcom]

I do.

... I'm guessing that you can as well?

week 0, friday

[dotcom]

[ okay the ??? room to add some dramatic scenery

that is, sasazuka is roaming the area after the announcement to try to see if there's anything going on that might explain what happened.

when he sees vira, he approaches. ]

What the hell.

[chevaleros]

[ she'll gesture for him to stop walking, though he may hear a crunch underfoot first. ]

Watch your step.

[ she's followed by a little spirit creature, who can't really illuminate the room but might help show her grim expression. ]

I take it you heard that announcement.

[dotcom]

I did.

[ he looks at the creature. he's obviously curious, but there are uh

more important things to focus on. ]

Were you locked in, too?

w0 - saturday

[chevaleros]

[ what a day. she's actually on her way to the gym for reasons, but stops in the rec room when she spots him.

for a moment, she considers letting him be, but eventually speaks quietly, though she doesn't waste time on pleasantries. ]

What did you make of today?

[dotcom]

[ he looks up at her from where's he's seated.

he sounds agitated. ]

I think that she was most likely framed. Someone chose her for whatever reason, and planned out everything about the murder to fit her. She says that her staff went missing earlier, so that was likely planted.

[chevaleros]

[ she nods, sitting down without explicit invitation. ]

...That seems likely. Though it's an oddly elaborate way to fulfill an indulgence.

week 1, friday

[dotcom]

[ vira is probably headed back to her room when she runs into one sasazuka.

as in, when he sees her headed there he follows after her. ]

Vira.

[chevaleros]

[ she's still wearing a sling, not opting for running into a pod when it's so strangely warm at the medbay. she stops for sasazuka—all things considered, she doesn't mind that he's here. ]

Sasazuka. Is there something I can help you with?

[dotcom]

Did you see anything odd today?

[ besides the pod and sweaty thing, but honestly he doesn't want to think about the pods. ]

w2 - monday

[chevaleros]

[ outside the new rooms, vira seems to be contemplating her choices when takeru steps out of the elevator. or maybe they're in the jail having a ptsd moment.

either way, she instinctively turns her head to look his way, and—a somewhat tense scene plays out (12:43 onwards).

...though it's clear when played out through her perspective that vira wasn't entirely joking. ]

[ well

it's a surprise for a lot of reasons, mainly being that it is such a huge difference from how vira acts here. he blinks a few times in confusion before looking at vira

hm. ]

[chevaleros]

[ she looks a little puzzled as they step back from the memory, her brows furrowed as she stares ahead.

but she smooths her expression over carefully as she looks over to sasazuka instead with a sigh. ]

Well? Stunned to silence?

week 3, tuesday

[dotcom]

[ sasazuka is in the research lab on the new floor. he's poking at some of the equipment?

when he sees vira, he'll nod at her in greeting. ]

What do you think?

[chevaleros]

[ she nods back, not really expecting much more in the way of pleasantries before she casts a glance around the room. ]

It looks different, though not necessarily much more advanced than what I've seen in our world...

[ she's carrying a book on 'modern' technology with her, too. ]

Still, I can't say I know how to navigate very much of this.

[dotcom]

It really makes me wonder what's going to show up next, huh?

[ he looks at the computers. ]

No idea if we'd find anything of use here.

week 5, monday

[dotcom]

[ well, here they are, checking out the security office i guess. ]

Would be convenient if we could use these to find out who murdered.

[ just. looking at the monitors displaying rooms. ]

[chevaleros]

[ she hums. ]

There's a thought. Perhaps we ought to stay here on Thursday?

[ is it kind of... fatalistic of her to assume they'll need it? she's not stupid enough to ignore patterns. ]

[dotcom]

... I think that's probably a good idea.

[ and would actually work out because zia asked if i want to do the security room for curfew hilariously

but for a while they get nothing according to the mod comment, but he knows by this point usually it takes a while. ]

I do wonder why this suddenly opened though.

w7 - saturday

[chevaleros]

[ later that evening, when she thinks he's probably had some time to collect himself, vira will show up with a small basket and careful knock on his door. ]

Sasazuka, it's Vira. May I come in?

[dotcom]

[ he is tired, and used to knocking at this point.

there's still a somewhat lengthy pause, but the door will open. ]

Mm.

[chevaleros]

[ what a struggle it is to have friends checking in on you. but no, he really did seem to be having a rough time, so she quietly slips into the room and closes the door behind her. ]

Please sit. Have you eaten?

[ do you have a fever. are you taking your vitamins. ]
