No matter what way I look at it, it appears that Beau was involved in what happened.

Towards the end, everything pointed to her but still wasn't quite right... Do you imagine she was framed? Or that something else was at play?

I've been thinking about that. Easy to frame her by taking her quarterstaff while sleeping, but impossible to know she would go on to punch a wall.

That is a good point. [ maybe it's coincidence, but it worked out a little too perfectly. ] I had considered, perhaps, that she was involved and could not remember her actions... but then I would expect the verdict to have been guilty regardless.

That's what I thought, too - she'd done it, but had no memory of it. But then the verdict - if that was what happened, 'incorrect' would be a misleading way to put it.

Yes... and now I'm left unsure of what the truth could be.

[ she sounds tired—frustrated. ]

I've no interest in justice, but it all feels unsettled.

The more people who get away with killing, the more who will try it, and that will endanger all of our goals.

Whoever is actually responsible for Tamaki's death is very dangerous now.

I agree. At best, we have someone in our number who is willing to kill and implicate another—thereby removing two people at once.

[ and as harrow says, creating a storm that will move other people to act. vira does not doubt that death was inevitable here—but she dislikes how the idea of all this boiling over. ]

And beyond that, I feel there are more threats here than we're aware of.

Well, there's the obviously bloodthirsty ones like Sutcliff. Though I would be surprised if someone doesn't deal with people like her eventually.

[ said very dryly ]

It's more like... what do you make of those noises we heard? [ that persistent skittering sound that's been coming up. ]

Sutcliffe is nasty, and I won't be sorry if she earns herself a similar fate. As for the skittering, I'm. . . not sure what to make of it.

[ they're just casually admitting it's fine if grell mysteriously dies, it's that kind of day. ]

Me neither. That wasn't the first time I've encountered the noise, either...

I'm not sure what to make of this place, or if anything resides here besides us and the Avatars. [ or even on other floors. ] It's too many mysteries for my liking.

[Harrow will never admit when she's fond of a particular person, but if someone is mean to them she'll hold the grudge forever.]

I suppose we'll have to ask about that. Do you find it necessary to learn who killed Tamaki?
